ED 501 - Building a Culture of Shared Leadership - 3 Graduate Credits
This course is designed to focus on collaboration and shared leadership. Participants will study what is working in collaborative environments and how to incorporate these strategies in their school or district.
This course is designed for participants desiring a culture of shared leadership and collaboration. Many instructional leaders feel they are working in isolation and need collegial support. Strategies and techniques for building a community of collaborative educators will be the focus of the learning. The course will research and review Instructional Rounds, Classroom Learning Labs, and peer observation. Participants will study the role of teacher leaders, the importance of relationships in the school, and involving teachers in decision-making process. Data is an integral part of student learning, and techniques for encouraging staff collaboration around data discussions will be encouraged. Participants will gather resources and techniques to add to their educator toolbox and be able to implement this information immediately. Overall, this course will explore a variety of methods to involve staff in the leadership and growth of the school.

-Credit is offered through CSU Pueblo/Colorado State University Pueblo.
-Coursework is submitted through Schoology.
-You will pay for the course with iFireUP and we will send you a link to complete the online registration with CSU Pueblo.
-Once you register with CSU Pueblo, you will be provided with your NET ID number. You can expect this email approximately 7-10 days later. Keep record of this number, it is your student number!
-Once your coursework is submitted to iFireUP and we submit your grade, CSU Pueblo will enter it. This process can take up to 14 days.
