About Us
iFireUP provides low-cost high-quality professional learning for continuing education credits and/or self-growth. Founded by Dr. Dorothy VanderJagt, Global Learning LLC/iFireUP, LLC, has been providing professional learning since 1991.
iFireUP partnered with Spring Arbor University in 2005 and with Colorado State University-Pueblo in 2018 to provide graduate credit for professional learning. iFireUP is a premier provider of state and national educational conferences and online learning.
About Our Founder
Dr. Dorothy VanderJagt is a popular and engaging speaker that works with educators all over the country. She is the author of Permission to Pause: A Journal for Teachers with Times Ten Publications and co-author of the soon-to-be-released, Strained and Drained: Tools for Overworked Teachers, (July 2022).
Dorothy was a teacher for ten years, a principal for eleven years, and the Director of Teaching and Learning at Kent Intermediate School District for four years. Dorothy currently serves as a Coordinator for the High Impact Leadership Project with Western Michigan University. She was director of the Northern Exposure to Middle-Level Education Conference in Frankenmuth, Michigan, for five years and has been the director of the Michigan Education Conference for fourteen years. Dorothy works as a coach for administrators, coordinates seminars, has published research on problems facing schools today, leadership, curriculum strategies, and self-care.
She has developed educational games, online courses, and is co-author of two books WOW, What a Team! and Fire Up for Learning! Dorothy’s extensive classroom background enables her to share her experiences on a teacher-to-teacher level in a meaningful, practical, and encouraging manner.
