This course will focus keys to successful social and emotional learning. Utilizing research based strategies that have a positive impact on student learning will be shared through online modules.
For students to thrive in their high-speed and hyper-connected environments, it is imperative for them to learn important competencies that go beyond academic standards. This course examines Social and Emotional Learning skills needed for students to become self-motivated, productive, life-long learners. Recent research data, classroom activities, resources, tools, and strategies are provided on topics including mindfulness, executive functions, student agency, resiliency, responsibility, persistence, integrity, empathy, gratitude and other intra-personal and interpersonal skills students need to find success both now and in the future.
This course is NOT offered for graduate credit.
