EDU 517 Instructional Resources to Elevate Student Learning - Using Curriculum Crafter 2.0

This course will focus on curriculum alignment and curriculum mapping. Participants will study and reflect on research based strategies that have a positive impact on student learning.

Curriculum Crafter offers research-based curriculum, which assists in aligning to state standards. Participants will investigate and build units around standards and foundations. Research based strategies that have a positive impact on student engagement and assessment will be shared. Included in the course will be a study of content expectations, sequence of instruction, and concepts and information. Participants will review student data and analyze the standards report, vocabulary report, curriculum map report, and the content expectation report. Overall the class will explore a variety of strategies and ideas, such as aligned curriculum, powerful lesson planning, Project Based Learning scenarios, personalized learning, Universal Design for Learning, curriculum mapping, and tracking academic standards.
